Since its founding in 2006, Twitter is evolving from solely a social networking technology to more of a mainstream, corporate news communication platform.
Some remain concerned about Twitter's limitation of 140 character news bursts, or "tweets". However, if information requires more than 140 characters to communicate, it's easy to link to an external site, which has the positive outcome of driving more people to your web site or blog.
