Statement and Challenge |
With
a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Catholic University, Sister
Margaret Beaudette, S.C. has been in the art field for more
than thirty years, teaching art and creating her own sculpture.
Today, her works can be seen across the United States in hospitals,
churches, shrines and at institutions such as DePaul University.
In addition, she has works located in Lourdes, France, Canada,
Bermuda, Haiti, and South Korea.
Sister
Margaret has been the recipient of the J. Dudley Diggs Award
for sculpture, and was a founding member and president of the
Catholic Artists of the 80s. The designer of over 55 major
pieces of work in her distinguished career, Sister Margaret
continues to develop sculptures that show a humanness and gentleness
of spirit that speak of God's presence.
While
Sister Margaret had received national and international recognition
for her sculpture work, her portfolio consisted of a variety
of paper-based materials, photographs, postcards and slides.
No single source of her work was available. The challenge for
epagentry was to compile her incredible work in a consistent
format that was easy to navigate, and inexpensive to distribute
to potential clients interested in her sculpture.
